Alternating Gradient Force Magnetometer (AGFM)

In a AGFM, an AC magnetic field is applied on the sample, and the resultant force on the sample is measured.

Torque Magnetometer (TMM)

The torque magnetometer (TMM) is based on the principle that a magnetic field exerts a torque (force) on magnetic samples to try to align the magnetization with the field. Whenever the magnetization is pulled in a direction other than the easy axis, the anisotropy tries to pull the magnetization in the easy axis direction. The force with which this takes place can be measured.

A hysteresisgraph is a DC automatic measuring system for characterization of bulk hard magnetic materials.

AC Magnetic Susceptometer

AC magnetic susceptbility (ACMS) is the measure of the dynamic response of magnetization under an AC magnetic field. The in-phase (real) and out-of-phase (imaginary) components of susceptiility – which may have frequency dependence – supplements DC magnetization measurements.
